That’s a lot of trash!

Trash is one of those horrible things that is ruining our trails. We all know it’s an issue, yet people continue to leave their trash spread all over our trails. There are a few things we can do to get ahead of the issue though.

  1. Whatever you bring in, take with you when you leave.
  2. Be a role model for your friends and family. Along with taking care of yourself, help your friends and family stay on track to being responsible for themselves with a friendly, kind, reminder when necessary.
  3. Plug into your local charity of choice and get involved with bigger projects to keep your local trails free from trash as often as possible. Being a part of something bigger than you alone is a great way to give back and feel a sense of purpose like no other.

We all love out public trails. It’s up to us to make sure those trails stay open by taking care of them and using them responsibly.
