The OHV Community Matters
There is a community when it comes to getting outside and on the trails. Although it may seem like people are becoming less and less about being a part of that community I assure you to keep things open and nice out there we must embrace the OHV family.
With a tiny bit of effort we all can make such a huge impact on our public lands and trails. Picking up trash when you see it, even when it doesn’t belong to you is a great example of helping not only the environment, but the OHV community its as well. Avoid drinking and driving is always a great rule to have. Even something as simple as a friendly wave goes so far when it comes to us embracing the OHV community.
Why do I stress not only having, but being a part of our OHV community? Well, simply put…people matter. Sure you can follow the rules, leave no trace, pack it in/pack it out, and all those nice tag lines for our outdoor behavior, but what if you can actually be a part of something bigger? Be a part of a group of like minded people that want to take care of the trails we love and use. A group of people that want everyone to get the same joy they get out of spending time on the trail. What if together that like minded group could not only clean up the bad practices out there, but enhance so much good that the folks that won’t get onboard with the plan feel like they are outsiders and either change their habits or stop coming out?
That is what a community is for. That is what the great people that fill the OHV community stand for. So, it’s time to come together and help keep our public lands and trails open, peaceful, clean, a safe place to be and of course somewhere we can all go to be with our community.
