5 Ways to Maintain your OHV

Maintaining your rig is important. It increases the performance and the life of your OHV. Of course the better kept your OHV remains, the less likely you find yourself broken down on the side of the trail wishing you would have taken better care of your things. Here are 5 things you can do to take care of your OHV…

1. Maintenance your grease fittings and fluids on time. This is probably the number 1 thing to do to take care of your OHV. When things don’t work properly you will inevitably breakdown and potentially and make a mess on the trail so, stay on it.

2. Battery health. Nothing is worse than a dead battery leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere or killing the fun before it gets started. Take care of your battery with proper storage, maintenance and use and you can maximize the reliability and life time of your battery.

3. belts. these days just about everything is belt driven. Inspect your belt every time you want to hit the trail, change them out as needed and keep a spare with you always.

4. Tires. Tires do not last forever. in fact they go pretty quick, but if you don’t want to be changing a flat on the trail, inspect your tires before you head out. Don’t forget to use appropriate tires for the terrain you are riding on. As a rule of thumb, I recommend the best quality tire you can afford. Never cheap out on tires.

And finally number 5.

5. Keep your OHV clean. the benefits of keeping your ohv clean are deeper than having the shiniest rig on the trail. with cleanliness comes visibility. visibility to see potential problems that you might be able to avoid by catching them early. You will also maximize the lifetime of your OHV. Keeping things maintained and clean is a great practice for any form of off road vehicles. These 5 tips will help you have a fun, safe, trouble free time on the trails
